Description | In Port Elpis, where slogans outnumber beacons, the city engulfed by the Hollow was formed by two layers of overlapping structures: Torchlit Lighthouse stands in the darkness, yet it guides the upper layers. The port walkway meanders through, with lost souls wandering in the labyrinth of containers, searching for the rescue number that’s long been torn off. At the edge of the city and the sea, you see a slogan that reads, “You can’t catch anything by the riverbank, and you certainly can’t here.” But the port authority would tell you that it’s not a warning, but a fated prophecy. If you want to know, the port authority also believes that they do not embrace negativity, but the most positive things — Elpis is the deity of hope and expectation. This port later became a transit hub during the fall of the old capital, and thus has long been known as “Hope.” |
